Three Days in India Between Flights: Delhi, Agra, Jaipur
Some trips to India are short by design: a work visit that ends early, a stopover before a flight to Southeast Asia, or a holiday with only a long weekend to spare. If that sounds like you, a 3 days Golden Triangle tour is a practical way to see the north's headline sights without rushing between hotels and taxis.
The route runs 2 nights, starting and ending in Delhi. On day one, a guide meets you at the airport and takes you through Old and New Delhi: Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid and the lanes of Chandni Chowk. You then drive about four hours to Agra.
Day two begins at the Taj Mahal at sunrise. After breakfast come Agra Fort and the tomb known as Baby Taj, then a five-hour drive to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal city.
On day three you visit Amber Fort, the Panna Meena ka Kund step well, Jal Mahal for photos, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Then you head back to Delhi for the airport transfer, or fly from Jaipur to skip the road.
Turban Adventures, based in Jaipur, runs this Delhi Agra Jaipur tour with a private car, a professional guide and 24x7 support. Airfares, entrance fees and travel insurance are not included, and hotels can be upgraded to 4-star or 5-star.
